A sketch of Jim's old brown work boots, which I'm not too pleased with. I didn't have a good light source, the back boot was mostly in dark shadow and needs some more work. They both need more work, but I decided to share them on Every Day Matters anyway. Maybe I'll retry them at another time, or maybe I'll paint them with a stronger light source. They were fun to sketch.
NICE!!!
ReplyDeleteNice boots indeed! I love the shadows ^^
ReplyDeleteI think you did wonderful given the lighting situation. It is good to have ideas on where to take it next time! I would love to see more studies!
ReplyDeleteYeah - I think that you did a good job with these old boots - great subject.
ReplyDeleteLike the way you worked on the folds in the old leather!
ReplyDeleteGreat drawing of the boots. Like your rabbit header also. Except for the super large ears, it looks like my daughter's rabbit.
ReplyDeleteLove the shading! :-) Didn't get the opportunity to thank you before for visiting my blog. So thanks so much, Sharon! Your kind words made my day :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat shading on the boots! Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving such kind comments... will be back to visit again ~ Deb

ReplyDeleteBeautiful boots. I love the contrast of shade and light, and how cozy they feel.
