AEDM Day 13-Doll Sketch-Little Miss Marker

Little Miss Marker was a birthday gift. She is all vinyl and is wearing a nautical outfit. I have to tell you that all of the dolls I've sketched look waaaay better than my sketches. I'm not trying to get a great likeness. I'm just practicing the facial features, the poses, and shading. I can see the shade nuances, but getting them to come out my pencil is another matter. Oh, well! :)

Ah, but this way is so interesting! I read a book once that said you want to get to the point where you exaggerate features on purpose, not just copy them down exactly as seen! This has a wonderful whimsical quality that I like!

The facial features are wonderful. They make up for the lack of feet.

This looks great. I don't know what the doll looks like except through your picture but it looks like you've got the doll down quite well.
